How to post videos on Instagram? (3 ways)

It’s terrific to record a precise moment in photos, but videos are superior in capturing motion, making something, or events with plenty of sounds.

Instagram allows you to share videos as well as images. It is possible to share captured moments on Facebook and Twitter and privately share movies with friends via direct messaging.

All three instructions can be found here.

Posting videos on Instagram

  • Install Instagram on your iOS or Android device
  • On display, tap the “+” symbol
  • A video can either be selected from your library or captured. To share a video from your library, click “Library” at the bottom of the screen and tap the video you wish to share. When recording a video, select “Video” and hit the circle at the bottom.
  • In the upper right corner, tap “Next.”
  • Once you have made any modifications to your video, hit “Next” again
  • You will now be taken to a page where you can add a description, select a location, tag others, and simultaneously publish the video to another social media network

Sending a video via Instagram direct message

  • Start Instagram by launching the app
  • You can access your direct messages by swiping left from anywhere in your feed or pressing the paper airplane symbol in the upper right corner.
  • Use the pencil symbol in the screen’s upper-right corner to select the person you want to send a direct message to, or use the “Search” box on the screen to search for them.
  • Tap the camera symbol in the bottom left corner to record a video straight inside the app. To pick a previously registered video from your library, tap the picture icon in the bottom right corner.
  • A person’s profile picture will appear at the bottom of your screen, just above the word “Send,” if you’re capturing a video straight from the app and want to send it to them. Tap on the person’s profile picture. You can send videos from your collection by clicking the video(s) you wish to send.
